Grupo Baux collaborates in the conservation of Segorbe’s environment by planting one hundred carob trees

Last Sunday, October 30, Grupo Baux together with the City Council of Segorbe organized a day of reforestation of trees that took place in the Paraje Natural Municipal de la Esperanza, an environment located in Segorbe, Castellón, which includes the water spring of La Esperanza, the Ermita de la Esperanza, the ruins of the Convent of Los Jerónimos and the nature classroom, where families and neighbors come as a recreation area and walk in search of tranquility in a natural environment.
Many colleagues of Grupo Baux, along with their families and friends, came over to collaborate in the planting of a hundred carob trees in the area of the spring, which supplies water to the city of Segorbe and irrigates part of its orchard, in addition to supplying water to other two neighboring cities. Hundreds of palm trees currently surround the spring, but as they are diseased with weevil, it was necessary to repopulate the entire area with a new species that would quickly adapt to the area to ensure the conservation and improvement of the environment.
The company’s strong commitment to the environment meant that last Sunday the area was not only repopulated with carob trees, but also that more was learned about the urgent need to respect and care for the environment, and to help and promote the conservation of the environment with actions such as this.
Thanks to the City Council of Segorbe for providing all the necessary tools to carry out the replanting activity, and for enabling the nature classroom to celebrate the success of the day with a well-deserved lunch.
