Hot rolling
The raw material transformation process at Grupo Baux begins at the Segorbe plant, with the melting process of aluminum scrap through rotary and/or reverberatory furnaces.
Then, thanks to a continuous casting system, the liquid aluminum is solidified continuously creating an aluminum strip 19 millimeters thick. This recycled aluminum strip is rolled without interruption in a three-box rolling mill, which reduces the thickness of the strip from 19 to 1.4 millimeters.

Continuous aluminum casting system that consumes 37% less energy to produce one ton of recycled aluminum compared to other processes.

Cold rolling
This operation is performed in a single-box aluminum rolling mill. It allows a minimum output thickness of 0.20mm, with a maximum strip width of 1270mm and a maximum weight of 8 tons.
The aluminum coils that pass from hot rolling to cold rolling are heat treated in the aluminum annealing ovens to modify their metallurgical state.

Tension levelling and cutting
During tension levelling we eliminate any flatness defects from previous processes, achieving an optimal surface finish.
Our machinery is capable of working aluminum with thicknesses between 2.50 and 0.20mm, resulting in perfectly flat recycled aluminum strips and clean cuts.

Lacado de aluminio
El lacado de aluminio reciclado es un tratamiento que permite obtener una ilimitada variedad de colores con la que dar respuesta a las necesidades no sólo estéticas, sino también de protección del metal frente a agentes externos (protección ultravioleta, resistencia al rallado, protección contra la abrasión, aislamiento térmico, etc.)
En este sentido, en Grupo Baux contamos con una extensa gama de colores que van desde los acabados clásicos (brillo o mate), pasando por los lacados especiales con texturas, hasta el lacado de imitación de materiales como la madera.

CORTE LONGITUDINAL Y TRANSVERSAL
Bancolor cuenta con 2 líneas de corte longitudinal y 3 de corte transversal que permiten adaptar las medidas de las bobinas y las chapas lacadas a los requerimientos de los clientes.
