In Grupo Baux we can say that the Carbon Footprint of our products is one of the lowest in the sector thanks to the 99.5% of scrap used as raw material in our rolling processes, thus integrating our business model in the Circular Economy.
Furthermore, thanks to our technology and processes, we only use 63% of the energy required by other alternative processes to manufacture aluminum coils.
Year after year, the Carbon Footprint is one of the main indicators on which we put our maximum effort and dedication, as our next target is to reduce it by 20% by the end of 2023.
ORGANIZATION carbon footprint (Scopes 1 and 2):
0.3838 t CO2 eq/t Aluminum,
in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 14064 standard.
ORGANIZATION carbon footprint (Scope 3):
2.692 t CO2 eq/t Aluminum,
in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 14064 standard.
PRODUCT Carbon Footprint:
1.54 t CO2 eq/t Aluminum,
in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 14067 standard.
ORGANIZATION Carbon Footprint: It consists of measuring the direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2 and 3) emissions of Greenhouse Gases of our activity, being usual to measure the first two and not so common to measure the third Scope. CVAB includes all three in its certification, since the third, for industrial sectors such as ours, is the one with the greatest contribution.
PRODUCT Carbon Footprint: It consists of measuring the GHG emissions of your product per unit (kg, liters...) based on its life cycle.

Based on a circular business model, respect and care for the environment are part of Grupo Baux's DNA. Since its creation, environmental aspects and impacts have occupied a privileged position in the Group's strategic, operational and support decisions
Our processes are based on a solid awareness policy: Grupo Baux is committed to contribute to sustainable development by creating a high value product from aluminum scrap, without endangering natural resources. Always in search of constant improvement, efficiency and effectiveness, through a transparent management that contributes to the viability and profitability of today, and the sustainability of tomorrow.
Our activity is based on caring for the planet, which is why we carry out a series of actions that promote its preservation and reduce our environmental impact.
Social commitment is a conviction for Grupo Baux. This commitment is reflected in our involvement with the Local Communities where our production plants are located, and is materialized through multiple actions and collaborations with different organizations.
Focused on improving dialogue with all stakeholders, at Grupo Baux we maintain an open, transparent and fully collaborative relationship with the Public Administrations of the localities where we are present, especially with the City Councils.
