Paul-Henri Chevalier, CEO Grupo Baux y CEO Jupiter Aluminum Corporation

Paul-Henri Chevalier

CEO

Aluminum is the metal of choice.

It is one of the most recycled and recyclable materials in the world. 75% of the aluminum that has been produced is still used today. Recycling only uses 5% of the energy that would be needed to produce new aluminum. However, there is still far too much aluminum that goes to landfill every year.

Recycling has been in our DNA since day one. Every year, thousands of tons of aluminum scrap are recycled into new products. New aluminum is reborn from aluminum scrap. From that perspective of being recyclable almost indefinitely, it can help solve the climate challenges in which we live.

A sustainable world must involve everyone, since each one of us must participate. Taking care of our people and our partners results in them taking care of us.

This is the first step of sustainability, making sure people do well. Education, training, happiness are essential to succeed.

At Grupo Baux, we are proud to contribute to a better world. Our planet fed us in the past and will continue to feed us if we respect it. This is what sustainability means: making sure that the next generations have a good future. The solutions are in everyone's hands, at home, at school, at work. Reducing waste, reusing, and recycling are the magic recipes for a better future.

A cordial greeting.

The lowest carbon footprint in the sector

In Grupo Baux we can say that the Carbon Footprint of our products is one of the lowest in the sector thanks to the 99.5% of scrap used as raw material in our rolling processes, thus integrating our business model in the Circular Economy.

Furthermore, thanks to our technology and processes, we only use 63% of the energy required by other alternative processes to manufacture aluminum coils.

Year after year, the Carbon Footprint is one of the main indicators on which we put our maximum effort and dedication, as our next target is to reduce it by 20% by the end of 2023.
